Nelly Furtado was born in Jonquiere, Quebec, Canada on January 2, 1978. Her first album "Whoa, Nelly!" (1999) was released when she was 14 years old and went gold in Canada. A few years later a major label deal brought a lot of attention to her and her 2002 album "Loose" featured two singles that hit the top ten in the world: "Powerless" and "Maneater." In 2009 Furtado released her third studio album Mi Plan Descarado, which included the single "All Good Things (Come To An End)," a duet with Bruce Springsteen. In 2010 Furtado went back into the studio to replace some of the tracks from Mi Plan Descarado with new songs that were recorded for this fourth studio album. The new songs were included on her fourth studio album Loose which was released in June 2010.
